As a software tester intern you will oversee quality assurance activities associated with software analysis. This includes developing test plans, performing exploratory testing, and executing functional and regression testing. You will work closely with engineering, product management, and support teams to ensure the product is ready for release.

Currently, Agnik is seeking a software tester intern for its New Town, Kolkata office (EcoSpace Business Park).

Responsibilities:

As a software tester intern, you’ll need to (with the guidance of your senior):

Work with software developers and project support teams
Identify business requirements
Plan projects
Monitor applications and software systems
Carry out stress testing, performance testing, functional testing, and scalability testing
Write and execute test scripts
Run manual and automated tests
Test in different environments, including web and mobile
Write bug reports
Assess code
Carry out resource planning
Review documentation
Work towards departmental and project deadlines
Provide quality assurance
Provide objective feedback
to software development project teams
Troubleshoot and problem solve
Present findings to software development and business user teams
Communicate findings to technical and non-technical colleagues.

Required skills and qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer programming, software development, or related fields.
Proven aptitude for testing quality software on multiple platforms and knowledge of industry-standard operating procedures and tools.
Understanding of various programming languages like Java, C++, and Python.
Proficiency in writing unit tests and integration tests for programming languages.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to liaise with a variety of stakeholders.
